Blount County Schools has released the approved 2026-2027 academic calendar. Key dates for families in the Hayden zone:
- First day of school: August 6, 2026
- Labor Day Holiday: September 7
- Columbus Day Holiday: October 12-13
- Thanksgiving Holidays: November 23-27
- Christmas Holidays: December 21 - January 1 (schools reconvene January 6)
- President’s Day Holiday: February 12-15
- Spring Break: March 22-26
- Spring Holiday: April 30 - May 3
- Last day of school: May 27, 2027 (half day)
- Memorial Day: May 31
The calendar also builds in two weather days (Feb. 12 and April 30) that become regular school days if unused, with make-up days added at the end of the year or on Saturdays if more are needed.
