An anti-cession Cherokee remembered for swimming the Tallapoosa River during the Battle of Horseshoe Bend to steal canoes for Cherokee forces. Killed in an ambush in Brown’s Valley after white settlers moved onto Cherokee land following Colonel Richard Brown‘s cession negotiations.
