A future Birmingham industrialist, later the driving force behind the Pratt Mines and Alice Furnace in Birmingham. Business partner to Col. J.F.B. Jackson for a few years starting around 1877, helping expand the Jackson House into the larger “New Jackson House” in 1878, before selling his own interest back to Jackson around 1879 to focus on his mining and furnace ventures.
