Founded in the spring of 1821 in Blountsville, per George Powell’s 1855 “History of Blount County,” alongside a sister congregation established the same year in Murphree’s Valley by the same minister, Rev. Lockhart.
Still active today, known locally as “The Little Rock Church on the Hill,” on U.S. Highway 231 in Blountsville.
