The Blount-Oneonta Chamber of Commerce has canceled the 42nd Annual Covered Bridge Festival, set for Saturday, Oct. 10, in downtown Oneonta, because of the threat of severe weather. The Chamber cited the possibility of heavy rain, flooding and high winds on Saturday. It said rescheduling is not possible because of the number of vendors, volunteers, law enforcement, city services and entertainment involved. Vendors should check their email for details. The Chamber said it looks forward to seeing everyone next year.
