A community north of Blount Springs. Home to Bangor Cave, a real cave that operated as an underground nightclub from 1937 to 1940, and to a real quarry once owned by W.F. Harrell. Two period newspapers were published here: the Broad-Axe, founded 1875 by Rev. Phillip McCarty Musgrove, and the Blount County Herald.
