Born 1815, died 1905 - physician, lawyer, and Baptist preacher who founded The Broad-Axe newspaper at Bangor at age 60, and personally joined Wheeler’s Cavalry, 1st Alabama Regiment, in 1862.

- William H. Musgrove (1841-1928), Joseph V. Musgrove (1850-1907), and Rev. Edward Gordan Musgrove (1844-1908) - three sons, two of them reverends in the same generation.
- Judge Joseph Inzer Musgrove (1884-1961) - grandson, via William H., an actual county judge.
