The largest, oldest, and most heavily-veteran cemetery documented in Blount County - fifteen marked veterans, several with actual ranks rather than a generic flag. This is the same ground George Powell‘s 1855 “History of Blount County” names as Guynn’s Cove, where the county’s first organized meetinghouse was built in 1817.
