A North Alabama historian with over 30 years of research focused on Blount, Cullman, Winston, and Walker counties, and author of “Blount County, Alabama Cemeteries” in three volumes. Every cemetery within Blount County’s contemporary boundaries was personally visited, with every readable tombstone copied - most of the fieldwork done in 2002-2003, with a 2nd edition released March 2009. Physical copies of the volumes exist at Wallace State Community College at Hanceville, the Double Springs Archives, the Blount County Museum in Oneonta, and the Alabama State Archives in Montgomery.
