A real extension of the Vaughn family behind the live “Smith Ford and the Vaughn Bridge” post: Thomas Absalom “Ab” Vaughn (1818-1902) fits well as B.H. Vaughn‘s father, and several surnames from B.H. Vaughn‘s own named 1895 bridge-building crew - Culwell, Holt, Lanningham, Gilliam - independently turn up buried here.
Notable graves:
- Thomas Absalom “Ab” Vaughn (18 Feb 1818 - 14 Feb 1902).
- Jonathan George Harkness (1791-1872) - the namesake of Harkness Crossroads.
